Bluffton Corning Glassworkers Union Fund:  Established in 1989 with the remainder treasury funds of the American Flint Glassworkers Union Local 1012 and Uni-Ploy, Inc. to provide vocational grants to Wells County youth.  Annually, a graduating senior from each of the three Wells County public high schools is selected to receive a $1000 grant for vocational training.  The Bluffton Corning Glassworkers Union Vocational Education Grant is a non-renewable $1000 grant award.

 ELIGIBILITY:

 Applicant must:

  1. Be a graduating senior of Bluffton High School, Norwell High School, or Southern Wells High School;
  2. Have demonstrated an interest in a particular vocational area; and
  3. Plan to enter an accredited postsecondary vocational training program as a full-time student.

 APPLICATION PROCESS:

 Interested individuals who feel they meet the eligibility criteria must file an application with their school’s Guidance Office by April 1.  Applications may be obtained from that office.
