Christian Care Retirement Community Scholarship Program:  Initiated in 1999 with income from the Christian Care Retirement Community Endowment Fund to provide scholarships for graduating seniors entering one of the following fields of study:  medical, food preparation, recreational therapy (occupational or physical) or social services. Christian Care Retirement Community Scholarships are available to a graduating high school senior from each of the Wells County public high schools.

ELIGIBILITY: 

Applicant must:

1.      Have a “B” average or higher;

2.      Be pursuing an accredited two (2) or four (4) year vocational or academic program; and

3.  Be entering one of the following fields of study:

a.       Medical

b.      Food preparation

1)      Dietetics

2)      Culinary Arts

c.       Recreational therapy, occupational or physical

d.      Social Service.

Preference may be given to the following:

1.      Individuals who have expressed interest in pursuing a career relating to services for the elderly; and

2.      Current employees of Christian Care Retirement Community.

APPLICATION PROCESS:

Interested individuals who feel they meet the eligibility criteria must file an application with their school’s Guidance Office by April 1.  Applications may be obtained from that office.
