The Wells County Foundation, Inc. is a nonprofit public charity established in 1957 to serve donors, award grants, and provide leadership to improve Wells County forever.  Grant proposals to be considered for the next cycle are due to the Foundation office by October 15, 2008.

 

The Wells County Foundation Announces Grants

The Wells County Foundation, Inc.  Board of Directors recently approved grants totaling $75,557.05 for the first grant cycle of 2008. 

Bi-County Services - $1,800.00 to provide an additional Summer Fun Program in 2008. Wells County Society for Crippled Children and Adults Fund
Bluffton Parks and Recreation Department - $1355.00 to provide funding for the Kehoe Park Movie Series. Unrestricted Fund
Bluffton Skate Board Park Project Committee - $25,000.00 to provide funding to build a skateboard park for the youth of Wells County. Community Enhancement Endowment Fund
Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana - $5,000.00 to provide funding for the client advocate and client services programs in Wells County. Ellen A. Gerbers Unrestricted Endowment Fund
Fort Wayne Philharmonic, Inc. - $10,000.00, to provide funding for the Fort Wayne Philharmonic Patriotic Pops Concert at Ouabache State Park in 2008. Wabash Endowment Fund and the John H. and Cecile D. Waid Fund
Muscular Dystrophy Association of NE Indiana - $2,400.00, to provide funding to send six children to MDA summer camp. Wells County Society for Crippled Children and Adults Fund
Northern Wells Community Schools - $2,550.00, to provide funding for the meals at the Jump Start summer school program. Elizabeth V. Patton Unrestricted Endowment Fund
Southern Wells Community Schools - $3,655.52, to provide funding for Musical Magic 2008 Summer School Enrichment Program. Edwina Patton Unrestricted Endowment Fund
The Creative Arts Council of Wells County, Inc. - $3,000.00, to provide funding for programming and website support. Community Enhancement Endowment Fund
Wells Community Theater Group, Inc. - $5,960.00, to provide funding for the royalties and rental fees of the performances of "Suessical the Musical." Wabash Endowment Fund
Wells County Historical Society - $3,811.53, to provide funding assistance for renovations to the Wells County Historical Museum. Community Enhancement Endowment Fund
Wells County Master Gardeners - $5,000.00, to provide funding for the Cook-Williamson Memorial Iris Garden. Community Enhancement Endowment Fund
Youth as Resources of Wells County - $3,500.00, to serve as a partial match amount required to receive $5000.00 matching grant from the Youth Philanthropy Initiative of Indiana. Elizabeth V. Patton Unrestricted Endowment Fund
