Located along East Wabash Street near the Perry-Bennett Streets juncture, the Angel of Hope Memorial Park provides a peaceful place in our community to remember loved ones and honor the lasting impact they have on our lives.
The Story of the Angel of Hope
The story of the Angel of Hope began with Richard Paul Evans' bestselling novel The Christmas Box. Inspired by the story's angel statue and its meaning to those experiencing loss, the first Angel of Hope statue was dedicated in Salt Lake City, Utah, in 1994.
The Angel of Hope has since become a symbol of remembrance and hope for grieving families and communities across the country.
Our community's Angel of Hope Memorial Park was the 64th Angel of Hope park in the nation.
A Place of Remembrance in Wells County
The idea for an Angel of Hope in our community began with discussions in 2002. Three years later, in 2005, the Angel of Hope Memorial Park was dedicated, on the 11th anniversary of the original Angel of Hope statue in Salt Lake City.
Today, the park offers a quiet place to pause, remember and reflect. The Angel of Hope stands as a reminder that although those we love may no longer be with us, their memory continues to be a part of our lives.

A personalized brick is a meaningful way to honor someone special and create a permanent part of Angel of Hope Memorial Park.
Each brick is $50, with all proceeds placed in the Angel of Hope Memorial Park Fund to help provide for the park's ongoing upkeep and care.

We'll take care of the rest. Bricks are typically installed approximately 6 weeks after the order is received. You will receive a call or text when your brick has been installed.

Hope Lights a Tree
Each year, the Angel of Hope Memorial Park becomes a place of remembrance during Hope Lights a Tree, a special community gathering held on December 6 at 7 p.m.
The evening provides an opportunity to honor and remember loved ones during the holiday season as the community gathers at the Angel of Hope.
