By completing and submitting scholarship applications, you place yourself in a pool of equally talented students who are all vying for these scholarship awards.  Your application(s) must represent your absolute best effort!


FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY!   Each scholarship has unique requirements.  Submit what is requested and PROOFREAD everything!  Typos and missing materials can cost you a scholarship.

Mr. and Mrs. Pete Cole Scholarship-Word doc —Provides scholarships to graduates of Southern Wells High School with priority given to individuals with a GPA of 3.0 to 3.3; and have actively participated in community activities/community service.    Must submit a personal statement regarding how active participation in church has impacted your life. Glennis S. Dick Memorial Scholarship- Word doc   Provides scholarships to Southern Wells High School graduating seniors who plan to seek a degree in the education field with the intent to teach. First preference may be given to applicants residing in Jackson Township. GDick-GoogleDoc

 

James I. and Glennis S. Dick Business Scholarship-Word doc — Provides annual scholarships to graduates of Southern Wells High School graduating seniors with priority given to individuals planning to enter into a business-related field of postsecondary studies. N. David Kelsay Scholarship-Word doc — Provides scholarships to Southern Wells High School graduating seniors who plan on attending an Indiana 2-or-4-year post-secondary college. Preference is given to students who attend a high school agriculture class, demonstrate financial need, and plan on entering an agriculture field of study. Kelsay-GoodDoc

Bettye J. Minniear Memorial Scholarship-Word doc —Provides annual scholarships to Southern Wells High School graduating seniors. Priority given to those who are the first generation seeking postsecondary educational pursuits. Minniear-GoogleDoc

Paddlefish Clean Energy Advocate Scholarship-Word doc — Provides scholarships to Southern Wells High School graduating seniors who plan on entering the following fields of study: construction/construction management, community planning, or STEM-related fields. ALL WELLS COUNTY PUBLIC HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS 

Christian Care Retirement Community Scholarship-Word doc — Provides scholarships to individuals entering into one of the following fields of study: medical, food preparation, recreational therapy (occupational or physical) or social services. Preference may be given to individuals who have expressed interest in pursuing a career relating to services for the elderly, and current employees of Christian Care Retirement Community. Claude and Helen Decker Scholarship-Word doc — Provides scholarships to graduating seniors from each of the three public high schools. Preference given to those who have been active in community service. Can be used for trade/technical programs at a publicly supported Indiana postsecondary institution.

Jill Dreyer Memorial Nursing Scholarship for Graduating Seniors-Word doc — Provides scholarships to graduating seniors who reside in Wells County or are employed at a healthcare facility within Wells County and have been accepted to a 2- or 4-year nursing program. Dreyer-GoogleDoc

K. Robert Ehrman Trade/Technical Scholarship-Word doc — Provides scholarships to graduating seniors from each of the high schools in Adams and Wells counties for individuals pursuing post-secondary trade/technical training. Must be a full-time student. Ehrman-GoogleDoc

The Scott Hanni Memorial Scholarship-Word doc — Provides scholarships to a graduating senior from Bluffton High School, Norwell High School or Southern Wells High School who plans to enter a 4-year academic college program at an accredited postsecondary institution in pursuit of a degree in the field of education with the intent to teach. Preference given to those applicants with a GPA of 3.0 to 3.4.

Wells County Master Gardener Scholarship-Word doc— Provides scholarships to students studying horticulture, landscape architecture (with consideration in allied sciences, i.e.: forestry, botany, plant or soils sciences), must live in Wells County and be accepted into Purdue University. Montpelier Pony and Saddle Club Scholarship-Word doc — Provides scholarships to graduating seniors from each of the three public high schools. Can be used for four-year college degree or two-year trade/technical program as a full-time or part-time student at an accredited public or private postsecondary institution. Can be used for a four-year college degree or a two-year trade/technical college program at an accredited postsecondary institution. Preference given to those applicants with a GPA of 3.0 to 3.4. Forrest Dwight Ramseyer Memorial Scholarship-Word doc — Provides grants to graduating seniors from each of the high schools in Wells County for individuals pursuing post-secondary educational or trade/technical training. Sellers Family Memorial Scholarship for Manchester University Scholarship-Word doc — Provides scholarships to high school seniors who plan to attend Manchester University and are graduating from Blackford High School, or any of the three Wells County public high schools.
