Students receive work based learning scholarships

Three students, one from each local public high school, received the Robert E. Pence Work Based Learning Scholarship. Lilly Bowman from Bluffton, Phoebe Lantz from Norwell, and Faith Blair from Southern Wells each received a $1,000 scholarship based on their excellent performance and willingness to go above and beyond while on the job.


Tammy Slater, far right, introduced the supervisors from the recipients work based learning employment experience.

Starting on the left, Tammy Thomas from Markle Health & Rehab presented the award to Lilly Bowman who is planning to major in nursing at Ivy Tech. Next is Melissa Clark from Christian Care Retirement Community who presented to Phoebe Lantz. Phoebe plans to major in nursing at Saint Francis. Linda Glenn from New Life Christian School presented the award to Faith Blair who is planning to attend Purdue to major in Elementary Education.
